A partir qüestions històriques, inclús socials, referencio a
[eng] This work is originated from observing and working with materials I feel familiar with and are close to me, from observing how they perform and interact with each other and with the other bodies that surround them. Cement and paper have aspects in common, which is evident when one makes an epistemological and procedural description of them, but especially when I work with them manually. Based on historical, even social, questions, I reference researchers and artists who help me develop some of the concepts in this text. To understand the materials, one must understand their process, involving oneself in it as far as the material allows. In this way, in my artistic work, I choose to subvert the traditional idea associated with the uses of paper and cement, intertwining their languages, leading to an aesthetic and procedural relationship between the two materials. |
