Tries lingüístiques en un debat electoral: la lluita per l’anonimat lingüístic

Abstract

[cat] Aquest article explora les tries lingüístiques de diversos candidats polítics a partir de l’anàlisi quantitativa de les intervencions en un debat organitzat per TV3 amb motiu de les eleccions del 10 de novembre de 2019 a les Corts espanyoles. S’estudien les ideologies lingüístiques dels diferents partits polítics amb base al seu programa electoral i tenint en compte la influència d’altres fenòmens com el disseny de l’auditori, la lleialtat lingüística o la convergència lingüís-tica per tal de determinar què condiciona la tria lingüística en un context altament polaritzat i mediat. Els resultats mostren un punt d’inflexió en l’ús del català com a llengua hegemònica, principal i anònima en el debat polític a Catalunya, amb la irrupció de forces que reclamen el castellà com a llengua anònima i que rebutgen el català com a llengua comuna.

[eng] This paper explores the linguistic choices of various political candidates based on a quantita-tive analysis of the interventions in a debate held by TV3 on the occasion of the elections for the Spanish Parliament on November 10, 2019. The linguistic ideologies of the different polit-ical parties are studied on the basis of their electoral program and the influence of other fac-tors such as audience design, language loyalty or language convergence in order to determine what conditions linguistic choice in a highly polarized and mediated context. The results show that a turning point was reached in the use of Catalan as the hegemonic, principal and anonymous language in political debate in Catalonia with the emergence of forces that claim Spanish to be the anonymous language, rejecting Catalan as a common language.
