L'autoimatge dels alumnes de 6è de primària en temps de filtres de bellesa

[cat] Les xarxes socials formen part del dia a dia dels infants, però sovint s'oblida com aquestes influeixen en la construcció de la seva identitat i autoestima. Aquesta investigació s'endinsa en la influència dels filtres de bellesa de les xarxes socials en la percepció corporal dels infants de 6è de primària. El punt de partida són la visualització d'una notícia televisiva i una imatge impactant captada durant unes colònies escolars. Aquests fets evidencien la presència d'una pressió estètica precoç entre infants que, tot just, comencen a construir la seva identitat. L'objectiu principal de la recerca és analitzar quina relació tenen els alumnes amb la seva imatge digital i quin efecte tenen les xarxes socials en la seva autoestima i autoimatge. Mitjançant un qüestionari dissenyat específicament, s'han recollit les respostes de 49 alumnes d'una escola de Barcelona sobre el seu ús de xarxes socials, la seva relació amb les imatges filtrades i les emocions que experimenten quan es veuen reflectits en aquests espais digitals. Els resultats mostren diferències significatives segons el gènere, i evidencien que moltes noies es veuen especialment afectades per la pressió estètica i la recerca d'un ideal de bellesa irreal. Aquesta anàlisi va més enllà de la simple recollida de dades, ja que inclou dues propostes concretes per donar resposta educativa al fenomen. D'una banda, s'ha elaborat un informe per compartir amb el professorat els resultats obtinguts. De l'altra, s'ha dissenyat un taller per treballar l'autoestima i l'acceptació del propi cos amb els alumnes. En definitiva, acompanyar els infants en aquest procés és clau per garantir un desenvolupament emocional saludable, per aquest motiu, aquest treball pretén donar visibilitat a un tema emergent i rellevant dins de l'àmbit educatiu, oferint eines perquè mestres i alumnes puguin reflexionar i actuar críticament davant d'un entorn digital que sovint imposa models estètics inassolibles.

[eng] Social networks are part of children's daily lives, but how they influence the construction of their identity and self-esteem is often forgotten. This research explores the influence of social media beauty filters on the body perception of children in the 6th grade of primary school. The starting point is the viewing of a television news report, and a striking image captured during a school camp. These facts show the presence of an early aesthetic pressure among children who are just beginning to construct their identity. The main objective of the research is to analyse what relationship pupils have with their digital image and what effect social networks have on their self-esteem and self-image. A specially designed questionnaire was used to collect the responses of 49 pupils from a school in Barcelona on their use of social networks, their relationship with filtered images and the emotions they experience when they see themselves reflected in these digital spaces. The results show significant differences according to gender, showing that many girls are particularly affected by aesthetic pressure and the search for an unrealistic ideal of beauty. This analysis goes beyond the simple collection of data, as it includes two specific proposals to provide an educational response to the phenomenon. On the one hand, a report has been drawn up to share the results obtained with the teaching staff. On the other hand, a workshop has been designed to work on self-esteem and acceptance of one's own body with the pupils. In conclusion, accompanying children in this process is key to guaranteeing healthy emotional development, and for this reason, this work aims to give visibility to an emerging and relevant issue within the educational sphere, offering tools so that teachers and students can reflect and act critically in a digital environment that often imposes unattainable aesthetic models.
