Habitar el gènere des de la norma: Una aproximació crítica a la construcció psicosocial de les identitats cisgènere

Abstract

[cat] El present treball parteix de l’objectiu d’explorar com es reprodueixen les identitats cisgènere en el marc del sistema cisgenèric, analitzant com aquestes es vinculen a la reproducció de dinàmiques de poder en el sí del cisgenerisme. Des d’una perspectiva socioconstruccionista crítica i seguint una metodologia qualitativa, s’ha realitzat una anàlisi narrativa-discursiva dels relats de vida generitzats de deu persones cisgènere distribuïdes al llarg de tres eixos: l’edat (1a generació, 2a generació i 3a generació), el gènere (home i dona) i la sexualitat (heterosexual i LGB+). Aquesta anàlisi ha permès concloure com les persones cisgènere es posicionen en dues narratives principals per donar sentit al seu jo cis: la narrativa generitzant – posició de subjecte generitzada – i la narrativa desgeneritzant – posició de subjecte desgeneritzada –, des de les quals s’expressen o s’evadeixen respectivament les diferències generitzades entre els individus generitzats. Tanmateix, aquests fan ús de la narrativa biologicista per sostenir els seus discursos. Des de la primera narrativa, les persones poden reproduir el cisgenerisme de forma explícita al posicionar-se com a subjectes generitzats reproductors; o bé poden oposar resistència a aquest sistema d’opressió des de posicions crítiques amb el gènere. Des de la segona, en canvi, tot i buscar mantenir una posició moralment respectable que sostingui un discurs de la igualtat, l’equiparació entre les realitats cis i trans porta a una evasió del privilegi cisgènere, reproduint, així, el cisgenerisme de forma latent. En suma, l’estudi presentat es proposa com una aproximació crítica a la construcció psicosocial de les identitats cisgènere que posa de manifest la importància de la seva concepció allunyada de les definicions clàssiques vinculades al cisgenerisme, per tal de contribuir a la seva resistència. Tenint, per tant, implicacions psicosocials i polítiques que pretenen contribuir al canvi social.

[eng] The purpose of the present study is to explore the reproduction of cisgender identities in the cisgender system, analysing how they are related to the reproduction of power dynamics linked to cisgenderism. Following a critical socioconstructionist approach and a qualitative methodology, I have conducted a narrative-discursive analysis of the life stories of ten cisgender individuals distributed along three axes: age (1st generation, 2nd generation and 3rd generation), gender (man and woman) and sexuality (heterosexual and LGB+). With this analysis, it has been concluded that cisgender people position themselves in two main narratives to make sense of their cisgender self: the gendering narrative – gendering subject position – and the degendering narrative – degendering subject position –, from which the gendered differences between individuals are expressed or evaded respectively. Moreover, they make use of the biologicist narrative to support their discourses. Following the first narrative, individuals can explicitly reproduce cisgenderism by adopting a reproductive gendering subject position, or they can resist it from a critical position. Following the second, despite seeking to maintain a morally respectable and egalitarian sense of self, they evade their cis privilege by equating cis and trans realities, reproducing cisgenerism in a covert way. In conclusion, the study is proposed as a critical approach to the psychosocial construction of cisgender identities, illustrating the importance of its conceptualization away from the classical definitions linked to cisgenderism in order to resist it. Having, therefore, psychosocial and political implications that aim to contribute to social change.
