dc.description.abstract[eng] The present thesis focuses on studying possible new therapeutic strategies for the treatment of cognitive and motor symptoms associated with Huntington's disease (HD). More specifically, the first work focuses on studying the contribution of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress to the cognitive deficits of the disease, while the second one studies the role of the ARMS protein in the alterations of the astrocytic secretome and its impact on motor symptoms.ca
dc.description.abstract[spa] La presente Tesis se enfoca en estudiar posibles nuevas estrategias terapéuticas para el tratamiento de la sintomatología cognitiva y motora asociada a la Enfermedad de Huntington (EH). Más concretamente, el primer trabajo se centra en estudiar la contribución del estrés de retículo endoplásmico a los déficits cognitivos de la enfermedad, mientras que el segundo estudia el papel de la proteína ARMS en las alteraciones del secretoma astrocítico y su impacto en los síntomas motores.ca
