| Abstract: | Here we review the results of our recent studies on neurodegeneration together with data on cerebral calcium precipitation in animal models and humans. A model that integrates the diversity of mechanisms involved in neurodegeneration is presented and discussed based on the functional relevance of calcium precipitation. |
