Abstract: Coronary heart disease is the leading cause of mortality and obesity in developed countries, luckily in recent decades have developed various forms of medical imaging extraction useful for diagnosis and monitoring of patients with these problems. IVUS images are the most important in this field since they allow observing the arteries from the inside and take useful measures for the treatment of the disease. To assist doctors work an automatic lumen area segmentation system is being developed, which is the area where the blood flows in the arteries. In this paper we try to study its performance and try to optimize this system to bring it a little more accurate segmentation to be useful in medical practice.
