dc.description.abstract[cat] En aquesta Tesi s’estudien corbes en el producte simètric d’una corba, C(2). Les caracteritzem, estudiem la seva immersió en C(2) i deduïm propietats de la corba C a partir de l’existència de corbes a C(2) d’un tipus concret. A més, donem una caracterització de C(n), per n general, a partir de l’existència de certes subvarietats amb unes propietats concretes.-
dc.description.abstract[eng] This thesis studies curves in the symmetric square of a curve, C(2). We characterize them, study their immersion in C(2) and deduce properties of the curve C from the existence of curves in C(2) of specific type. In addition, we give a characterization of C(n), for n general, by the existence of certain subvarieties with particular properties.-
