dc.description.abstractNowadays the usage of web applications in order to manage and look up information is on the rise. These applications are known as data-driven applications because they use information as the base of their operation. They are mainly used by companies to make their workers jobs easier, thus minimizing the time wasted looking for information. During this project, an application programming interface (API) and a web application that will use said API will be implemented. The information that will be shown is from a table that was created as a result of a study done by the faculty of pharmacy of the University of Barcelona. This study was done with the collaboration of some doctors specialized in renal illnesses. The aims of this study were to determine the prevalence of dosing inadequacy as a consequence of renal impairment in patients over 65 that were taking 3 or more drug products and who were being attended in community pharmacies, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the community pharmacist intervention in addressing the problem of dosing inadequacy as a consequence of renal impairment in patients over 65 years that were taking 3 or more drugs when compared with usual care. This web application will allow doctors and pharmacists to access this table with ease. This document explains how the project has been developed using the framework Spring MVC, Java, AngularJS and JPA with Hibernate. It will detail its different parts: study of the possibilities, the configuration of the different technologies, the web and API development process and all the tests that have been made with the professors from the faculty of pharmacy of the University of Barcelona. The goal was to work with technologies, architectures and techniques used in the world of work in order to create a quality product as well as studying said technologies.ca
