The search began with a request of the civic association Lo Riu (The River) in 2013 to the University of Barcelona, who carried out an intense archaeological campaign in a dynamic of public research. In the following years and until 2018 the actions on Raïmats have been multiplied by incorporating experiences on open-air museography, school visits, Battlefields Tourism, historical recreation and didactic iconography. All in all the dynamics gets its contextualisation within a pedagogical action research in which the didactic approaches achieve a high prominence. The experience at Raïmats also includes an explicit approach on memory since the place has become a significant site to the Battle of the Ebro history.
