This virus causes a disease called AIDS, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome. Currently, there is no cure for this virus, but there are treatments that allow HIV-positive people to live with it. For this reason, new treatments are being sought to completely eradicate HIV. In this project, a new antiviral agent against HIV has been synthesized on a large scale and fully characterized by 1H and 13C NMR and mass spectrometry. This new antiviral agent is based on a terphenyl structure containing three benzene rings linked by single bonds and functionalized with aliphatic chains terminated with guanidinium groups. The new antiviral agent was designed to mimic a secondary structure of the Rev protein and, consequently, block the RRE-Rev complex and stop HIV replication63 p.application/pdfengcc-by-nc-nd (c) Paytubí, 2024http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/es/Síntesi orgànicaVIH (Virus)Medicaments antivíricsTreballs de fi de grauOrganic synthesisHIV (Viruses)Antiviral agentsBachelor's thesesSynthesis and characterization of new HIV-1 antiviral agentsSíntesi i caracterització de nous agents antivirals del VIH-1info:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/embargoedAccess
