We begin with a short introduction about the evolution of first games of chance until geometric probability problems. After including previous concepts, we work, following Santaló’s work, the Buffon’s needle problem and Buffon-Laplace’s needle problem. Then, we suggest generalizations with the same areas but with the long needle. The number of dimensions is also increased and the probability of the short needle is computed for orthoedra.
