Tutor/a: Sílvia LópezThis Degree Final Project is based on the bibliographical search of the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) firocoxib from a pharmacological point of view including the mechanism of action, indications or contraindications among others. Through a great search in biomedical literary bases such as PubMed and Scopus, the indications of this active pharmaceutical ingredient are supported with studies. In addition to investigating the new properties and indications that are currently being carried out and that are not described in its Summary of Product Characteristics. Next, the formulation of Previcox® 57mg is studied in detail, the only veterinary medicine with the same dosage and pharmaceutical form indicated in this project. Moreover, a proposal of the industrial manufacture of medicine in a study is made. Detailing the composition for each component. Finally, a new secondary packaging is designed. As a consequence, changes in primary packaging are produced.
