A 6.8% increase in energy consumption in the industrial sector would be needed to make the cement industry carbon neutral, and a 2.9% increase would be necessary for the petrochemical industry. A 6.5% increase in limestone mining would be needed to fulfill the material requirements in the cement industry. Additionally, the emissions associated with the transportation of the captured carbon to a storage site are calculated and determined to be minor compared with the capture stage5 p.application/pdfengcc-by-nc-nd (c) Moreno, 2023http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/es/Captura i emmagatzematge de carboniReducció del diòxid de carboniTreballs de fi de grauCarbon sequestrationCarbon dioxide mitigationBachelor's thesesCarbon Capture and Storage technology’s role in CO2 emissions reduction and the energy costinfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess
