We briefly outline the main social and economic problems faced by the new Democratic Republic of East Timor. Then we argue that a BI financed by oil and natural gas revenues could play a major role in combating these problems.14 p.application/pdfeng(c) Walter de Gruyter, 2010Desenvolupament econòmicEconomia domèsticaRecursos naturalsDrets humansEconomic developmentHome economicsNatural resourcesHuman rightsThe Right to Existence in Developing Countries: Basic Income in East Timorinfo:eu-repo/semantics/article6393612017-06-01info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess
