Per tal de determinar el grau de productivitat fonològica del procés, s’ha dut a terme un experiment amb pseudoparaules amb 35 nens d’entre 7 i 8 anys, a l’estil del wug test de Berko (1958). Tot seguit s’analitzen els resultats i se n’assenyalen les tendències generals que, juntament amb algunes consideracions teoricodescriptives, apunten a la pèrdua de la productivitat del procés. In this paper we perform a description and bibliographical review of the process of deletion of final /n/ in a stressed syllable in Catalan and we analyze its regularity and exceptionality. In order to determine the process’ degree of phonological productivity, a nonce-word test was carried out with 35 children aged between 7 and 8 years old, in the style of Berko’s (1958) wug test.
