La labor, en este caso, hace referencia a la definición productivista de Karl Marx; un trabajo manual que requiere de habilidad y tiempo, con un énfasis en la producción de un artefacto o la recolección de un material. Mientras escribía este ensayo, trabajé como obrero en la construcción, y al mismo tiempo produje varias obras de arte. Esta investigación se manifesta en sí misma a través de una serie de pinturas, acompañadas de jarrones de cerámica e instalaciones florales hechas por Carolina Spencer.[eng] La Obra y La Obra is a written investigation focusing on the connections between artwork and labour. Labour in this case refers to Marx’s productivist definition; manual work that requires skill and time, with an emphasis of the production of an artifact or the collection of a material. During the writing process, time was spent working on a construction site, and a number of artworks were produced.
