Malgrat això, una part important dels escriptors (vinculats a la Renaixença i el Modernisme) s’oposaren a la codificació del català. Un dels personatges més particulars d’aquell moviment fou Ramon Miquel i Planas, bibliòfil barceloní molt implicat en les disputes lingüístiques de principis del segle XX. Aquest treball ressegueix la trajectòria de l’antinormisme en general i de Miquel i Planas en particular, amb la voluntat de conèixer els seus arguments i les seves motivacions contra les Normes Ortogràfiques. Despite this, a significant part of writers (linked to ‘’Renaixença’’ and ‘’Modernisme’’) opposed the codification of Catalan. One of the most particular characters of this movement was Ramon Miquel i Planas, a bibliophile from Barcelona who was heavily involved in the linguistic disputes of the early 20th century. This work follows the path of anti-normanism in general and of Miquel i Planas in particular, with the will to know their arguments and motivations against the ‘’Normes Ortogràfiques’’.
