In general, more burdens are imposed on lenders and certain commercial practices are banned or restricted in all Member States. Moreover, the Directive is characterised by the fact that it includes consumer data protection and specifies consumers’ right not to be discriminated against, which may have some overlap with the General Data Protection Regulation and the on-going development of EU artificial intelligence legislation.24 p.application/pdfengcc-by Arroyo Amayuelas, Esther, 2024http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/Protecció del consumidor (Dret comunitari)Protecció de dadesCrèdit al consumConsumer protection (Law of the European Union)Data protectionConsumer creditA Third Directive on Consumer Creditinfo:eu-repo/semantics/article7483212025-10-13info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess
