In this paper we discuss the issue of mental capacity in patients with anorexia who consent to or refuse a specific treatment. We also review personal identity as an important factor in decision-making and discuss three decision-making styles: the subjective criterion, substituted judgment, and the best interest principle, and highlight the serious challenges associated with each one.18 p.application/pdfengcc-by-nc-sa (c) Càtedra Ethos-URL i Editorial Herder, 2022https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/AnorèxiaAlienació mental (Dret)Presa de decisionsBioèticaAnorexiaInsanity (Law)Decision makingBioethicsDecision making in patients with anorexia nervosa: a bioethical and methodological challengeinfo:eu-repo/semantics/article7235972022-05-30info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess
