The research employed a 3D electrical resistivity model of the Balearic Islands and a program based on spherical elementary current systems for magnetic field interpolation, due to the lack of observatories, correlating electric and magnetic fields using the magnetotelluric method. The study involved generating electric field maps and exploring the relationship between the electric field magnitude over the islands and solar activity. Outcomes revealed cases of abrupt electric field intensities for solar activity in certain locations across the Balearic Islands resulting in risks to electrical grids5 p.application/pdfengcc-by-nc-nd (c) Bonmatí, 2024http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/es/Camps elèctricsTempesta geomagnèticaIlles BalearsTreballs de fi de grauElectric fieldsGeomagnetic stormBalearic IslandsBachelor's thesesInduced geoelectric field calculations during magnetic storms in the Balearic Islandsinfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess
