The plutons range from leucogranites to ultramafic cortlandtites but the more widespread types are granodioritic and tonalitic. All the igneous rocks show a typical calc-alkaline trend and have a calcic character. The existence of andesitic and rhyolitic volcanism in the eastern and central Pyrenees suggest a possible subduction zone in this area during the Upper Carboniferous to Lower Permian.11 p.application/pdfeng(c) Enrique, P.
