We show that the constrainedequal awards rule is the unique rule satisfying strong non-manipulability via mergingand contraction independence. Replacing contraction independence with the weaker conditionof independence of redundant claims yields a new characterization. Moreover, strongnon-manipulability via merging in the above two axiomatizations can be substituted byconsistency and non-manipulability via merging. By duality, we achieve parallel characterizationsof the constrained equal losses rule.1 p.application/pdfeng(c) Springer Verlag, 2025AxiomesFusió d'empresesAxiomsConsolidation and merger of corporationsClaims manipulations discriminate between egalitarian rulesinfo:eu-repo/semantics/article7639522026-01-20info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess
