The laboratory session is based on the construction of a telescope, emulating the one used by Galileo Galilei and analyzing the effect of aberrations and other practical limitations on the quality of the image. Different situations and configurations are analyzed, and the recreation of historical observations is carried out to generate a debate on the limitations of real telescopes with the students. The impact on the learning procedure of the students is analyzed by means of the results they have obtained during several academic years.16 p.application/pdfeng(c) Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE), 2024TelescopisÒpticaTelescopesOpticsDealing with telescope magnification and resolution: recreating Galileo’s observations in the labinfo:eu-repo/semantics/article7509132024-10-28info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess
