One of the best known features of quantum devices is their ability to represent quantum many-body systems, which are harder to simulate for a classical device. However, quantum computers still cannot provide high-precision results. This motivate the creation of quantum-classical algorithms able to simulate the ground state of many-body systems reducing the computational load in quantum devices, the so-called Variational Quantum Eigensolvers (VQEs). In this work, we present classical simulations of two of the most promising VQEs, the Unitary Coupled Cluster (UCC) and the Adaptative Derivative-Assembled Pseudo-Trotter (ADAPT), within the nuclear shell model. In particular, we use both methods to solve the structure of light atomic nuclei, from 6Li to 10Be, and compare their performances24 p.application/pdfengcc-by-nc-nd (c) Carrasco, 2024http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/es/Física nuclearOrdinadors quànticsTreballs de fi de màsterNuclear physicsQuantum computersMaster's thesisVariational hybrid algorithms for nuclear shell model simulationsinfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess
