A partir de este hecho probado, se propone la posibilidad de que más o menos en el mismo momento se decidiese dejar de ornamentar con vistosas tracerías caladas el espacio entre capillas que forma parte del doble deambulatorio del templo, elementos sin función estructural que solo aparecen en los dos primeros tramos del ábside.[eng] This paper documents a design change that took place around 1434 in the construction of the flying buttresses of the Cathedral of Tortosa, which went from being richly ornamented above the chapels to decoratively restrained above the ambulatory.
