The article reports on the discovery of an unknown manuscript of a seventeenth century Catalan short farce. The play had been edited by Josep Maria Sala Valldaura in 2007 through the publishing company Barcino. Sala Valldaura's edition was based on the two copies in existance at the time: the complete one held in the Biblioteca Nacional of Madrid and an incomplete one held in the Institut del Teatre of Barcelona. The new manuscript, included in the Fons Renart of the Biblioteca de Catalunya, contains the whole text and also incorporates two unpublished songs as a novelty. These songs are included in the present article since they allow us to render an interpretation of the play from new perspectives.18 p.application/pdfcat(c) Villalonga, Anna Maria, 2009Teatre catalàHistòria de la literaturaCatalan dramaHistory of literatureL'entremès Lo batlle i la cort del borboll: un testimoni inèdit del teatre català del segle XVIIIinfo:eu-repo/semantics/article5849752020-06-29info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess
