La forma, junto al consentimiento y a la capacidad jurídica, es uno de los tres pilares sobre los que sustenta la validez del matrimonio. Un matrimonio celebrado sin observar la forma canónico sustantiva es nulo; pero hay otras formalidades prescritas por el derecho que, de no cumplirse, no afectan a la validez de la institución, pero sí a su licitud. Aquí se presentan, de manera esquemática y con formato de diapositiva, como material de soporte a las clases presencialdes, unos apuntes sobre los diferentes aspectos jurídicos que se refieren a la forma del matrimonio.[eng] Canonical marriage is a formal legal business.
