Abstract

[spa] He querido hacer una composición escultórica situada en el centro de un espacio neutro, donde las formas geométricas, las lineas curvas y las aristas se contraponen dentro de una misma pieza y entre las contiguas. Los colores vivos, pálidos y neutros conviven y generan una vibración que contrasta con las formas de las figuras. Mi objetivo es crear un juego visual con el espectador, hacer que perciba la misma sensación al observar la obra en su conjunto que de manera individual, que al compararlas unas con otras. Se trata de 16 figuras de escayola, reproducidas en serie de manera artesanal, que miden entre 35 y 55 cm de altura por 15 de ancho. están policromadas y esmaltadas. utilizo colores desde muy vivos y saturados a tonos pálidos, negros y blancos. Formando un conjunto con las formas y colores que se contraponen entre si y a la vez se complementan. Es por eso que las sitúo en cuadricula, para crear una especie de red donde están todas interconectadas. para que se pueda percibir la idea del conjunto y a su vez dejando espacio de paso entre ellas para que cada una tenga presencia propia.

[eng] I wanted to make a sculpture located between a neutral space where the geometric shapes, curve lines and edges counterpose in one piece and between adjacent. The vibrant, neutral and mate colors coexist and create a vibration that contrast the shape of de figures. My objective is to create a visual game with the spectator when looking at the whole sculpture or individually. I want them to perceive and have the same sensation when comparing. Is about 16 handcrafted figures made out of plaster created in series than measure between 35 and 55 cm in height by 15 cm wide, polycromated and enameled. I have used from saturated and vibrant colors to mate, black and white. Creating a combination with the hape and colors that contrast between them but at the same time they compliment each other. That’s the reason why they’re situated in grid, to create a net where they are connected to each other and perceive the idea as a whole but at the same time leaving a space between each other to make them stand out by itself.
