Patrimoni arquitectònic rural de pedra seca

Abstract

[cat] El patrimoni arquitectònic de pedra seca és molt abundant a Catalunya i conforma gran part del paisa tge rural del territori. És un patrimoni que està en risc, degut a una manca de relleu generacional en l’activitat econòmica agrícola. Els principals problemes amb què es troben aquestes construccions són la situació geogràfica — lluny de l’entramat urbà —, la poca preservació per part dels propietaris — la majoria privats— i la manca de coneixement del valor d’aquestes construccions. Aquest treball pretén fer un estudi entorn el patrimoni arquitectònic rural de pedra seca, per posar-lo en valor i per generar unes pautes, argumentades i desenvolupades, sobre els criteris de conservació i restauració que haurien de regir qualsevol actuació sobre aquest patrimoni. Tots els conceptes genèrics s’han exemplificat a través d’un conjunt constructiu en pedra seca concret i local, les barraques i cabanes incloses dins del Pla Especial de Protecció del terme Municipal de Montblanc.

[eng] The architectural heritage of dry stone is very rich in Catalonia and makes up a large part of the rural landscape of the territory. It is a heritage that is at risk due to a lack of generational change in the economic activity of agriculture. The main problems that these constructions face are the following: its geographic location —far from urban areas—, the little preservation from the owners —most of them are private —, and the lack of awareness of the value that these constructions have. This thesis aims to study the environment, heritage, and rural architecture of dry stone, to give value to it, and to generate the guidelines, argued and developed, on the criteria of conservation and restoration that should be considered in any action on this heritage. All of the generic concepts have been exemplified through a set of dry stone constructions, which are the huts and shacks included within the special protection plan in the municipality of Montblanc.
