The present research work focuses on the development of an observational instrument that allows the codification and analysis of the interaction process between participants, articulated through communication in a Mediation process. This work is done under the Mixed Methods perspective, opting for one of the three main avenues of integration of qualitative and quantitative elements that exist, the Connect. It is developed in two parts, the first is dedicated to the generation of the observation tool that consists in the elaboration of an ad hoc instrument, using the base of the Bales IPA system, the categories are molecularized, and the coding of behavior is carried out through the LINCE registration software. The second part shows the application of the instrument in a simulation of a real case of Mediation trying to identify patterns of interaction. Results obtained through the analysis of polar coordinates show the discriminative value of the categories in their different levels, being able to appreciate differentiated relations in the effect that the mediator has in the different mediated parts. |
