dc.description.abstractIn this paper we generalise the well-known Gauss algorithm for counting primitive representations of positive integers by positive definite ternary quadratic forros ([3], Arts 278-292) to the case of quadratic forros in k variables. Our main considerations are based on the systematic use of exterior algebra which, in our opinion, simplifies thewhole treatment and helps to understand sorne apparently hidden ideas.ca
