Autoficción en la narrativa de Esther Tusquets: análisis de la Trilogía del mar

[spa] El objetivo principal de este trabajo es, fundamentalmente, identificar algunos de los elementos temáticos propios de la narrativa ficcional de la escritora catalana Esther Tusquets, más concretamente de las tres novelas que conforman su Trilogía del mar (1978-1980) y que, en última instancia, pueden ponerse en paralelo con planteamientos que realiza la misma en su obra memorialística. Para ello, en primer lugar y con tal de dar una aproximación teórica, se recogen los conocimientos de estudios referentes al concepto de autoficción, ensayos sobre la narrativa de la escritora y entrevistas a la autora, entre otros. No obstante, como fuente historiográfica principal, se han empleado las autobiografías escritas por la misma Esther Tusquets. Paralelamente, se ha realizado una lectura atenta de las tres novelas de la trilogía: El mismo mar de todos los veranos (1978), El amor es un juego solitario (1979) y Varada tras el último naufragio (1980) para constatar semejanzas y recurrencias tanto temáticas como estilísticas a lo largo de estas.

[eng] The main aim of this paper is, fundamentally, to identify some of the thematic elements inherent in the fictional narrative of the Catalan writer Esther Tusquets, and more specifically among the three novels that comprise her so-called Trilogía del mar (Trilogy of the Sea), which, ultimately, can be placed in parallel with the approaches developed in her memoirist writings. To this end, first of all, in order to provide a theoretical approach, we will gather insights into the notion of autofiction, essays on the writer's narrative and interviews with the author, among others. However, the autobiographies written by the author herself have been used as the main historiographical source. On the other hand, there has been a close reading of the three novels of the trilogy: The Same Sea as Every Summer (first published in Spanish in 1978, translated to English by Margaret E. W. Jones in 1990), El amor es un juego solitario (Love is a Solitary Game, 1979), and Stranded (first published in Spanish in 1980, translated to English by Susan E. Clark in 1992) so as to establish both thematic and stylistic similarities throughout them.
