Els canvis en els usos agrícoles i pecuaris des del segle XVIII fins a l’actualitat a tres municipis del Baix Llobregat

Abstract

[cat] Aquest treball analitza els canvis d’usos agrícoles i ramaders a tres municipis del Baix Llobregat. L’estudi permet observar en detall les dinàmiques socioeconòmiques que determinen les variacions en els usos agrícoles i pecuaris al llarg del temps. Aquest es-tudi s’ha basat en fonts fiscals dels diferents moments d’estudi, tant estadístiques com cartogràfiques, que han permès conèixer els usos agrícoles i pecuàries passats, i a través dels Sistemes d’Informació Geogràfica s’han pogut reinterpretar aquestes fonts. Els resultats obtinguts ens permeten observar al segle XVIII l’auge de la comercialitza-ció vitivinícola, al segle XIX i XX l’extensió dels conreus de regadiu gràcies als canals de reg i l’extensió dels fruiters, tant de regadiu com de secà, però també l’arribada de les plagues americanes de la vinya. També al segle XX es produeix la modernització i tec-nificació del sector agrícola i la crisi del model tradicional d’agricultura, amb l’abandonament de les àrees més marginals i la fi del mosaic agroforestal. L’estudi per-met veure una gran reducció de l’espai agrícola des de la segona meitat del segle XIX i un increment molt fort de les àrees urbanes i forestals des de la segona meitat del segle XX. Si a l’àrea d’estudi l’agricultura ocupava el 57,5 % a la dècada de 1850, a l’actualitat només representa el 7,4 %.

[eng] This project studies the changes in agricultural and livestock land uses at three munici-palities in the Baix Llobregat region in Catalonia. The study focuses on the socio-economic dynamics from the last centuries and observes the variations in agricultural and livestock uses over time. The analysis performed in this work was based on tax sources from different periods, both statistical and cartographic, which allowed the ac-quisition of quantitative data of the past agricultural and livestock uses, and through techniques of Geographical Information Systems it was able to reinterpret these sources. The results show the rise of wine marketing in the 18th century, the extension of irrigat-ed crops due to the irrigation canals and the extensions of fruits trees, both irrigated and dry, in the 19th and 20th centuries, the arrival of the American pest of the vineyard in the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries and the modernization and technification of the agricultural sector and the end of the traditional agriculture model, with the abandon-ment of the most marginal areas and the end of the agroforestry mosaic in the 20th cen-tury. The study shows a great reduction of the agricultural land uses, while urban and forest areas increase significantly. While in the 1850s the agricultural areas represented 57,5 % of the total area of study, nowadays it only represents 7,4 %.
