Abstract: We demonstrate the application of solid-phase peptide synthesis methods for the straightforward assembly of polynuclear Ir(III) organometallopeptides, and show that their oligoarginine derivatives exhibit high DNA binding affinity, sequence selectivity, and high cytotoxicity towards a set of cancer cell lines.
