Abstract: The growth of In2O3 nanostructures via Volmer-Weber growing process, using metallic indium as the precursor and Ar or Ar/O2 gas mixture as the carrier gas, has been carried out. The effect of the growth temperature, pressure, gas flow and the role of the presence of a catalyst (Au) has been studied by structural, electrical, and optical characterization techniques. The results show a correlation between the measured resistance and bandgap with the microstructural characteristics of the grown layers
