Abstract: In this work, we present a theoretical study of Macroscopic Quantum Tunneling (MQT) for magnetic systems. To gain insights into its properties, Spin-coherent-state Feynman path integrals are used to calculate the tunneling transition rate, Γ, for single-domain ferromagnetic nanoparticles. We also compute the critical temperature Tc, which serves as the threshold between the quantum and thermal regime and we finally discuss experimental approaches that can provide empirical evidence of MQT in magnetic particles
