| ca |
dc.description.abstract | [eng] The aim of this work is to analyse the 'femme fatale' concept and to apply it to the character of Clytaemestra from the 'Oresteia' of Aeschylus. For a start, it is delimited the notion of fatal woman and it is made an approximation to the prototype in which a big amount of figures that have terrified masculinity throughout history are based. Having been established the principles of this model of malevolent woman, it is introduced the 'Oresteia' and Clytaemestra, whose analysis is based on the elements that define a 'femme fatale': manipulation, sexuality, beauty, seduction and destruction of men. The work includes an in depth study of the actions and verses attributed to Clytaemestra and contributes to mark the dialectic ability, insight and perfidy with which Aeschylus provides the queen of Argos before the return of Agamemnon to the homeland. | eng |
