Abstract: Bell’s theorem proved that quantum theory cannot be fully explained with local hidden variable models. This led to the emergence of the field of nonlocality, which has been generalized to more sophisticated scenarios than the standard Bell scenario, called network scenarios. This thesis focuses on the characterization of the correlations in the simplest nontrivial bilocal scenario. While correlations in the standard Bell scenario form a convex set, in networks the set of correlations is non-convex, making the problem challenging. We construct an oracle that tells us whether a correlation is bilocal or not. We study analytically the geometry of the bilocal set. Finally, we describe two different ways of generating nonlocality and give a intuition of what is genuinely nonbilocal.
