Abstract: The project Implementing Platforms for Children's Participation. Active citizenship in decision-making (IMCITIZEN) promotes children's democratic citizenship as active and engaged members of their communities and identifies strategies to increase their initiative, decision-making and engagement in participation bodies in schools and communities. IMCITIZEN is made possible thanks to funding and support from the European Commission in the framework of the Children, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme, which aims to protect and promote the rights and values of the European Union as enshrined in its Treaties and the Charter of Fundamental Rights, thus contributing to the maintenance and further development of open, rights-based, democratic, egalitarian and inclusive societies based on the rule of law.
