The present article tackles the relation of emancipation and education concepts emerged in the European debate on the national education programs in early liberalism. This relation is analyzed through the reading of some literary works of Modernity, from the birth of the Bildungsroman genre to the twentieth century’s fragmented narrative. The objective is to analyze how the history of education until the current crises of values is represented in the said writings, while they are transgressing the educational discourses, proposing, at the same time, a new concept of education -
