Abstract: Limits are necessary in adolescence because they provide security, order, and promote self-control, while rules help to comply with them according to each young person’s maturity. Martina (adolescent), Núria Ramos (Cooperativa Ranura), and Esther Luna (project coordinator, UB) explain that it is key to set limits through communication rather than punishment, which causes disconnection and does not solve problems. Consequences, on the other hand, promote learning and responsibility. The difference lies in the approach: control versus understanding and education. The goal is to understand the importance of setting limits and establishing educational consequences to foster responsibility and emotional development in adolescents.
