Pornography deeply affects the sexual and emotional development of adolescents, normalizing violence, inequality, and fostering addiction. Many young people develop their sexual desire based on unrealistic and violent images, which influence their self-image and relationships. Furthermore, the lack of affective-sexual education leaves both girls and boys feeling disoriented, pressured, and vulnerable. In the absence of educational alternatives, pornography becomes their sexual teacher. Mireia Iglesias (adolescent), Carmen Candial (sociologist and expert in pornography), and Esther Luna (project coordinator, UB) emphasize the need for affective-sexual education that enables critical thinking, respect, and the construction of healthy relationships.ca
