| dc.description.abstract | El CRAI Biblioteca de Matemàtiques us ofereix una mostra de llibres de Peter Lax, reconegut matemàtic, guardonat amb el Premi Abel 2005. El Premi Abel és un guardó que atorga el Rei de Noruega anualment a un matemàtic. El govern noruec va crear el Premi Abel l'any 2002, en el segon centenari del naixement del matemàtic noruec Niels Henrik Abel. Peter David Lax (Budapest, 1926- ) és un reconegut matemàtic que ha realitzat importants contribucions en sistemes integrables, equacions en derivades parcials, dinàmica de fluids, solitons, lleis de conservació hiperbòlica i computació cientítica matemàtica, entre altres àrees. | ca |
