Abstract: Edition of the accounts books of the royal bailiff of Cervera and his deputy between the years 1459 and 1469. The books provide details of the bailiff's activities, his functions and his involvement in the daily problems of the town of Cervera. These included low-level social conflicts, disputes between townsfolk, tense relations with the Jews or aggressions against them, the illegal use of arms, the life of the brothel and the practice of prohibited games.
