dc.description.abstractA model for high-energy ππ scattering based on Regge residues is developed using the dominant ρ and f trajectories together with the Pomeron contribution. The mesonic residues are determined from hadronic couplings extracted from the decay widths of the ρ(770) and f2(1270) mesons. The resulting total cross sections are compared with the available experimental data and show a reasonable agreement in the high-energy region
