Usos políticos de la historia. El culto a Bolívar como herramienta de la revolución socialista del siglo XXI

[spa] El trabajo tiene como propósito analizar el uso político y abuso histórico de la historia en el caso de Simón Bolívar, prócer insigne de América Latina dentro del proyecto político revolucionario liderado por Hugo Chávez en la Republica Bolivariana de Venezuela. Esto, con el fin de demostrar que el culto al libertador, acompañado de tácticas discursivas, así como también de diversas reformas estatales, deviene en un “culto Chávez” convirtiendo a su gestión como a sí mismo en una “deidad” nacional, específicamente después de su muerte. Para esto, se vuelve necesario un recorrido historiográfico sobre la genealogía del culto bolivariano, el contexto venezolano que permitió la gesta revolucionaria, las características de dicho proyecto y la disección del discurso emitido por y desde el poder, para así identificar los cimientos del nuevo culto bolivariano-chavista. Esto es, para evidenciar que la apropiación y trasfiguración de la figura del libertador por parte del chavismo ha generado nuevas bases en el marco ideológico de la sociedad venezolana.

[eng] The purpose of the work is to analyze the political use and historical abuse of Simón Bolívar, a distinguished hero of Latin America within the revolutionary political project led by Hugo Chávez in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. This, in order to demonstrate that the “cult of Bolívar” accompanied by discursive tactics, as well as various state reforms, becomes a “Cult of Chávez”, transforming his administration and himself into a national “deity”. To this purpose, it becomes necessary a historiographic review on the genealogy of the Bolivarian cult, the Venezuelan context that allowed the revolutionary feat, the characteristics of the bolivarian revolution and the dissection of the discourse issued by and from the cult in order to identify the foundations of the new Bolivarian-Chavista cult. This, to prove that the appropriation and transfiguration of the figure of the liberator in the hands of Chavismo has generated new bases in the ideological framework of the Venezuelan society.
