[cat] Aquest article estudia un aspecte molt concret del finançament del ferrocarril de Catalunya en la primera etapa de construcció de les línies (1844-1875). La troballa i el buidat dels llibres de les juntes d'accionistes ha possibilitat el coneixement dels accionistes de les companyies ferroviàries i de l'evolució de l'estructura del capital-accions durant aquest període. Les dades ens mostren que, malgrat que la promoció i gestió de les línies va córrer a càrrec d'alguns pocs grans capitalistes, les accions van ser finalment adquirides per una multitud de petits ¡ mitjans inversors locals. També s'analitza l'impacte de la crisi borsària de 1866 sobre l'estructura del capital-accions de cadascuna de les línies. Aquesta primera aproximació a l'accionariat de les companyies ferroviàries ens obre el camí cap al coneixement d'aquelles persones que van jugar un paper més rellevant en la promoció i el finançament de les línies de tren catalanes.
[eng] This article focuses on a veiy specific aspect of the financing of railways in Catalonia during the first period of construction (18441875). Thanks to the discovery and subsequent data-processíng of the minutes of shareholders meetings it has been possible to study the evolution of the industiys stock structure during this period. The evidence shows that, although the promotion and running of the lines was the affair of a handful of big stockholders, shares were eventually acquired by a multitude of small and medium local investors. The article also analyses the impact of the 1866 Stock-Exchange crashon the stock structure of each of the companies. This first approach to the knowledge of the share holders of railway companies should open the way to more in-depth studies of the people who played the leading ròle in the promotion and financing of railway building in Catalonia.
