Sammelbände at the University of Barcelona’s Rare Books Library, or how we deal with facticis (with some examples)

[cat] La participació del CRAI Biblioteca de Fons Antic en la trobada del grup d’investigació Sammelband 15-16, esdevinguda a l’Enssib de Lió al novembre del 2022, ens ha permès aprofundir en el coneixement dels volums facticis de la nostra col·lecció, a la vegada que reflexionar-hi des de diverses perspectives. Després d’oferir-ne una instantània a través de dades estadístiques, exposem les dificultats catalogràfiques que plantegen, així com el seu tractament a la biblioteca digital institucional, Bipadi. A continuació, són protagonistes els facticis produïts als convents de la província de Barcelona durant el segle XVIII i fins a la desamortització. La importància de treballar les procedències i la centralitat adquirida per la base de dades Antics posseïdors, i una mostra de facticis d’incunables especialment interessants clouen la intervenció, amb un compromís nou envers aquests peculiars reculls documentals que representen prop del 20 per cent del nostre fons.

[eng] The participation of the Rare Books Library at the Sammelband 15-16 project meeting at the Enssib of Lyon, in November 2022, has allowed us to go deeply into the Sammelbände of our collection, and also examine them from several perspectives. After presenting a snapshot by means of statistical analysis, a summary of Sammelbände cataloguing difficulties is given, as well as their treatment in the institutional digital library, Bipadi. These aspects are followed by a focus on Sammelbände produced by the religious houses in the area of Barcelona during the 18th century until the suppression of the religious orders, in the first half of the 19th century. The text ends with the relevance acquired by the study of provenances and the database Former Owners, and a selection of particularly interesting Sammelbände containing incunabula. In short, our commitment to these peculiar documents that represent circa 20 percent of our copies has been reinforced.
