Abstract
This Final Degree Project presents the thermal analysis of PoCat-3, a 1P PocketQube satellite. The thermal behavior of the spacecraft is evaluated, validating the requirements established by its electrical components, while also providing a solid foundation for future analysis of other IEEE Open PocketQubes. A thermal model was developed based on the satellite’s geometry, material properties, and orbital parameters. Simulations under transient conditions are presented for different boundary conditions. The results obtained showcase the need for an active thermal system and the potential transition from white coating to a more absorbing one, as in both cold and hot scenarios not all requirements have been found to be met due to lower than acceptable predicted temperatures
